1. Company Identification
Julie Proudley, trading as Enlighten Counselling & Homeopathy, is registered as a Sole Trader with HMRC in the United Kingdom. It is owned and operated by Julie Proudley.
The main trading websites are www.enlightenpsychotherapy.com and www.enlightenhomeopathy.com
Enlighten Counselling & Homeopathy is not currently VAT registered. Julie Proudley has Public Liability Insurance and Employers Liability Insurance with Balens, underwritten by Zurich, policy number ZUR-BACP/25/10/53
Julie Proudley is also a member of ARH (Alliance of Registered Homeopaths) and adheres to their ethical framework

3. General SERVICE Information
Enlighten Homeopathy provides in-person, online and phone 121 homeopathy initial assessment and follow up appointments. The frequency and length of engagement of is decided on an ongoing basis between the therapist Julie Proudley and the client. Julie Proudley as the homeopath will then prescribe a remedy or remedies for the patient which will be from Helios Homeopathy dispensary
4. CONFIDENTIALITY
All communications, session content and personal information will never be shared with a 3rd party. There are, however, some limits to confidentiality, which may have to be broken such as Serious injury or harm may occur to you or someone else; Child abuse has been disclosed; A miscarriage of justice will occur; Information is disclosed about an act of terrorism; or I am summoned by a Court of Law.
In the first instance, I would at the very least contact your General Practitioner and the emergency number given on the client information form. Where possible, I will of course always inform you first and discuss it with you if confidentiality has to be broken.
4. Payment for services/ CANCELLATIONS
Payment is requested to be by cash or bank transfer before the session starts. Please let me know if neither of these options are suitable and I will endeavour to find a payment solution that works for you.
Please let me know if there needs to be a cancellation as soon as possible. There is a cancellation charge if cancellation is not within 48 hours or 60 hours for in-person sessions. If there is a stated reason that is deemed an exception to the cancellation agreement or if I have an appropriate available space to transfer the session to, the session may be transferred to a new date. This is on a case by case basis.
Failure to attend booked, scheduled, agreed or paid for appointment/s for services, will not be classed as cancellation and will be charged at the full rate.
5. AGREEMENT OF PARAMETERS OF SERVICE
Enlighten Homeopathy service will ensure there is an agreement between the therapist and client before the provision starts. The written agreement form can be agreed via e-mail or verbally in the first meeting.
6. CRISIS
My email address is intended for enquiries, appointment scheduling, and other administrative purposes. I am not able to provide email counselling and would not be able to respond to an email written in a crisis situation. You have several alternatives in a crisis situation (e.g., if you feel you are a danger to yourself or are otherwise in need of immediate help):
– Contact your General Practitioner (GP).
– Go to your nearest A&E Department.
– Ring the Samaritans (116 123).
– Ring the Mental Health Helpline (0300 304 7000).
7.SHARING INFORMATION
Even though I request your GP details, I do not liaise with GPs or other parties unless this is deemed necessary and/or helpful. I will discuss this with you further in our first session. In instances of perceived risk to self or others, I will need to communicate with your GP.
If you wish me to be able to discuss your situation with another health care provider (e.g., a specialist, another psychologist, a previous therapist) or any other person, I will discuss this with you and if we agree its benefit, I will ask you to sign a release of information to allow this.
8. DATA HANDLING & MANAGEMENT
I process your data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 and professional practice guidelines. When making process notes of a session, I do not include any identifying information (e.g., name, date of birth, phone number).
Any electronic client records, and/or the devices on which they are kept, are encrypted and/or password protected.
I will correspond with you in the methods you have agreed to.
I do not transport paper material with identifying information.
After our sessions have ended, I will retain your data for seven years, in line with professional practice guidelines. At that point they will be destroyed/erased, to include all electronic communications. In certain circumstances, you may wish to have your personal data permanently erased sooner than this. This is known as the right to be forgotten.
9. Complaints
Client satisfaction and feedback is of the utmost importance to Enlighten Homeopathy. Please do contact Enlighten Homeopathy directly if there are any issues with any service provided. This ensures the best opportunity for resolving any issues by mutual agreement. If unsatisfied by this, complaints can be made to ARH, of which Julie Proudley is a registered member and abides by their ethics, policies and procedures.
10 General Policy & Security/ Website Ownership & Control
This website is owned by Julie Proudley trading as Enlighten Counselling and Homeopathy. In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, Julie Proudley is registered as the Data Controller for Enlighten Counselling and Homeopathy with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
The type of information we will collect about you includes:-
your name
address
phone number(s)
email address
You can check the information that we hold about you by getting in touch. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. We will never sell your information to any third party company.
Please note that any personal information that you submit through forms, letters, emails and the like is not encrypted and therefore may be collected by others. Any such information is sent at your own risk and you should therefore carefully consider its sensitivity before transmitting it. While we make every effort to keep the information that you supply directly or indirectly secure we would like to make you aware that the Internet in itself is not a completely secure medium.

11. Cookies & Tracking
